Few months ago there was a report that nearly all salt brands, even the reputed ones, contains micro-plastics, which are extremely harmful for our health. If you are a milk lover, then you need to be cautious these days. News has come that a man from UP was recently arrested for committing adulteration. As per news, the culprit was using a hazardous chemical from China in order to replicate milk. A video has been viraling on the internet which shows that the man named Ajay Agarwal of Agarwal Traders of Bulandshahr used a chemical powder which allegedly could produce 500 litres of fake milk with just 1 kg of chemical.
In the above video, a person could be seen demonstrating how few grams of chemical powder mixed with water could produce fake milk. The culprits could also be seen sitting in the video. The person demonstrating the creation of fake milk showed that a special ingredient was also poured in order to give a milk like flavour.
As per India Today’s report, the culprits were found in the possession of wax also.found at the site of raid which was used to make synthetic paneer. The site was located at Khurja Teshil’s Amirpur Agora Village. The culprits were involved in supplying synthetic milk and adulterated paneer.
The raid team gathered large quantity of harmful chemicals, refined oil, skimmed milk powder and synehtic syrup which were all used to produce adulterated milk and paneer. These products were being supplied to the local shops in Bulandshahr and major markets in Delhi and Noida. The team seized nearly 100 quintals of fake milk, 18 quintals of milk powder, 16 quintals of caustic potash, 31 quintals of baking powder, 1000 liters of refined oil, 300 litres of synthetic syrup.
According to credibe sources, nearly 70% of milk was deemed unfit few years back, requring for a stricter action from FSSAI and other relevant bodies.
