If reports are to be believed, then there are high chances that Ramiz Raja will not be be doing any commentary in the future, atleast whenever Pakistan would be on the field. As per a report by Bol News, the PCB has intimitated the broadcaster about the on-screen behaviour of Ramiz Raja with the winning captain and had even requested them to not consider him for the commentary panel in the near future.

On the post-match broadcast segment, Ramiz came in the firing line after his sarcatic question to Shan Masood for achieving 6 losses in a row. The question did not went down well with the viewers as many opined that it was the time of celebration rather than finding faults in losses from the previous games.

“Aapne 6 losses in a row kaise achieve kiya?”, Ramiz had asked Masood in an interview after the Rawalpindi Test.

Ramiz Raja also joked about lack of blood in Noman Ali. This comment received massive backlash from social media fans. Cricketer Mohammad Amir criticized Ramiz Raja and opined that he should have talked more positively with the winning captain instead of finding faults in previous losses.

Ramiz Raja Clarification on the sarcastic remark

The former PCB Chairman clarified on his Youtube channel that his goal was not to belittle the Pakistani captain and that he has a right to ask questions. He further stated that opportunities would open up even more for Pakistani commentators if Pakistan team would win more matches.

Ramiz highlighted that he at times highlights a weakness in Shan Masood’s batting technique and offers him suggestions at times.

It is no secret that Ramiz is a great admirer of Babar Azam and had worked closely with him during his PCB chairmanship tenure. Fans across social media often opines that Ramiz wasn’t happy with Babar being removed from Test squad under Masood’s leadership after Pakistan lost the 1st test against England which is why he was being sarcastic with Shan Masood even after Pakistani had defeated England to win the series 2 – 1.
